Customer notice

Please be aware that from 1 December 2024, the management and operation of the Turkish Baths Harrogate will transfer from Brimhams Active to North Yorkshire Council. We do not anticipate any disruption to service or impact on customers. If you have any queries concerning these changes, please speak to a member of staff. A list of customer frequently asked questions can be found on the Brimhams Active website here, alternatively printed copies are available on reception.

Reservations

We recommend booking in advance to avoid disappointment.
Treatments and Turkish Baths Entrances can be booked online or via our reservations team on 01423 556746.
If you wish to cancel or reschedule your appointment you are kindly requested to give a minimum of 2 days notice. We regret that cancellations less than 2 days prior notice will not be refunded.

Some treatments may be unsuitable for some medical conditions or if you are pregnant. We advise you to consult with us at the time of booking. Please consult your GP if you are unsure about your visit prior to contacting us.
Entry is strictly restricted to persons aged 16 and over. It is a term and condition of entry that you may be asked for verification of your age. If you are unable to provide appropriate identification such as a passport or driving licence, you will be refused entry.

Located in the picturesque Spa town of Harrogate, you will find the historic Turkish Baths Harrogate.

By rail/bus

We are located in the town centre with a short 5 minute walk from either station.

By car

Harrogate is approximately 20 minutes from Leeds and 35 minutes from York. Travelling from North or South, we are approximately 7 miles from Junction 47 of the A1, following the signposts for Harrogate. Once in Harrogate we are located on Parliament Street on the A61.

Car parking

There are plenty of parking options close to the Turkish Baths. You can opt for on street parking on the roads immediately around the Royal Baths which are a mixture or pay and display and disc parking. Parking discs are available from a variety of retailers in the town or from the Tourist Information Centre. Alternatively, there are secure multi storey car parks available.

Jubilee long stay

This car park is within 5 minutes walk of the Turkish Baths. The car park, off Cheltenham Road, HG1 1DJ, is open 7am - 10pm Sunday to Wednesday, and 7am - 11:59pm Thursday to Saturday.

Victoria long stay

This car park is slightly further away but well situated in the town centre and within 10 minutes walk of the Turkish Baths. Located on East Parade, HG1 5LQ, it's open from 7am - 7:30pm, Monday to Saturday, and from 10am-7pm on Sundays and bank holidays.

Café

Before, after or during your time with us, relax in our café area and treat yourself to just a little more time out. We serve a variety of hot beverages from the world famous Yorkshire Tea to freshly ground coffee selected and roasted by the York Coffee Emporium. Fentimans provide a variety of botanical cold drinks straight out of the Victorian era alongside our very own home town Harrogate Spa water to refresh and cleanse. With a selection of cakes and snacks to accompany and light lunches available to order, we can ensure you are well looked after.

Spa etiquette

Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your treatment. This will allow you to relax and change into your robe (as a courtesy to all our guests a late arrival may mean that your treatment time is reduced).
For the comfort of other guests, young children are not permitted in the treatment rooms.
We provide a towel for all guests at The Turkish Baths. We politely remind all guests that in the interest of hygiene, guests must keep their towel with them at all times. Should you require a clean towel to sit on, or to replace used towels, please speak to an attendant.

For the comfort of other guests and to allow you to escape from the outside world, we do not permit use of mobile phones and electronic devices in the Turkish Baths and Health Spa areas.
We politely request all our guests to be mindful of others and keep noise to a respectful level to allow all guests to enjoy the tranquility of the surroundings.
